Roanoke’s Leading Auto Body Since 1998
You may not realize it, but the Cave Spring Auto Body we have all grown to know did not always exist. Back in 1998 Dean was working as a supervisor at a cement pipe manufacturing facility and Mitzi worked as a bookkeeper for her father’s roofing company. Though they were both new to the industry, they jumped at the opportunity to become business owners and purchased what was then Dick’s Auto Body.
The original location consisted of just over 3600 total square feet and housed only five employees. Dean and Mitzi kept the business in the original spot while gaining valuable experience and knowledge about the industry. However, it was not long until Cave Spring Auto Body had gotten so busy that they moved to a new location big enough to meet their customers’ growing demands. The new location, consisting of nearly 10,000 square feet of shop space and a waiting area for customers, is still the current home of Cave Spring Auto Body.
Having two daughters of their own, Kendal and Kelsey, the husband and wife team put a high importance on family. They knew early on that their greatest asset would be their employees, and have made it their mission to make them feel valued and like part of their own family. They work to provide the best working environment they can by supplying their staff with uniforms, health insurance, and 401k all at no expense to the employee. Cave Spring Auto Body sticks to the same philosophy when it comes to giving back to the community. They are very active in sponsoring high school sporting events and numerous other fundraisers.
Though Cave Spring Auto Body has grown significantly over the years, Dean and Mitzi still try and stick to their original goal of providing the community the very best collision repair experience they can while creating a great working environment for their employees.
Now, nearly 20 years later, Cave Spring Auto Body employees 20 full-time employees, along with shop dog Charlotte, and has gone through 3 expansions. In the last two decades they have added another paint booth, nearly tripling the size of the paint shop, a frame shop, and another 8 working stations in the body shop. Additionally, Cave Spring Auto Body stays up to date on the best and newest collision equipment including water born paint, a Car-O-Liner spot welder, and computerized vehicle-measuring system. They also boast the most highly trained staff in the area by achieving ICAR gold status - all to ensure that your vehicle is repaired to the absolute highest standard possible.
“Our experience with your employees is always very professional, efficient, and totally responsive to our needs.”
